Boeing Factory Everett Washington

Tickets are sold at location and online. They encourage you to buy tickets online and there is a discount  if you do it online. You choose the time when you want to do the tour. If you are someone who is afraid to fly this is a good place to learn the security aspects of planes and what measures are taken to keep you safe in air. If you are someone who flies frequently, it also good to know what it took for us to fly that comfortable.

This  factory is huge and they brag that it is the biggest building in the world. It can fit 75 football stadiums. Workers use bicycle to go from one area to the other. They took us in buses for the tour. Otherwise it will be too much walking. They don’t allow photography of any sort. You cannot take your cellphone or camera on the tour. You will be asked to secure them in a locker provided. 

 The arial view of the building shows where what planes were built. It was amazing to see parts of a plane being assembled. We got to see how the entire plane gets its unique identity base on what airline will be flying that plane and what country.

At museum you get to learn every aspect of a plane. The cross section,  to what the tires are made. Did you know the plane tires are filled with Nitrogen because of its heat absorbing properties. Did you also know unlike a car or truck tire plane tire won’t shred due to impact. Special components to the tire makes it possible. 

There is a gift shop at this facility where there are various souvenir items like t-shirts, hats and various other things. 

Every year Boeing commemorates  a Jumbo Jet to the Super Bowl Champions and it was SeaHawks that year.

The factory is secure building and during the tour they expect you to be with the group.

While I was there the Dream Liner a new fleet of planes were built by Boeing 787-8. This is suppose to change the way we fly in the future. They brag that Jet Lag would be a thing of the past. The lighting inside the aircraft, the size of the windows and the cabin pressure  all conforms to get that effect where you will arrive at your destination refreshed to continue you day like nothing changed. 

Flight simulation ride in the main building with the exhibits. It stimulates air travel. It feels real but you are still on the ground. 

The are flags of various countries. This indicates that those countries bought planes from Boeing. So if you saw your country’s flag, yes! they bought from Boeing. Almost all the countries buy from Boeing. Boeing has also worked with NASA at one time and they had partnership in one of the shuttle program.
