Energy

Energy to conduct a whole day seems a lot for a lot of people. We find that energy by doing things like taking a nap, eating, exercising or simply relaxing.

Others resort to energy drinks, shakes and pills. All these seem the right thing to do. But is it really? If you are constantly tired and without energy for the whole day there are things you can do to optimize the level of energy.

Sleep gives you natural energy. One has to get six to seven hours of sleep. This definitely does wonders. Sleeping at the same time every day and waking up on a regular schedule tells the body that it needs to perform normal. This becomes a routine and the body will adjust to that.

Food provides energy. Eat three meals a day to provide continuous supply of energy. Make it a routine as to what times you take your meals. This way your body continue with endurance until it requires food. Think about this we feed the pets this way. We don’t let them eat all the time. Similarly if your body gets used to food all the time then it requires it to function. In James Bond movies you would here villains eating at certain times as habit. There is a reason and this is why.

Your body clock will adjust to the habits and perform the way it is supposed to.

Exercise regularly. Whether you are doing strength and endurance training, endurance cycling, core exercise, boost stamina or muscular endurance workouts. Let your body adjust to that and be regular. It doesn’t have to be every day. Even if you feel tired make an effort to make it regular. Exercise makes me so energetic even if I was tired before I did it.

Drink water. When you get thirsty reach for water to keep you hydrated. If you are used to drinking tea or coffee do it at specific times and not all the time. Avoid taking energy drinks or other shakes. Don’t get used to temporary energy.

Take every day vitamins. Make it regular. Take it for a month skip a month. Once a day vitamins will compensate for the what you miss in your daily diet.

Breath on a regular basis. Digital watches have a breathing app. Use it to stop everything you are doing and inhale and exhale. This helps blood circulation to all parts of the body. Exercise opens up all veins to receive that circulation of clean blood.

I use my Apple Watch schedule to breath and reflect. I stop what I am doing and focus on my breathing. Reflect is where you do nothing just wonder around.

Monitor your movements. Set up you watch or phone to count steps you take. The App that pays to walk like Sweatcoin. Download it with the above link. Use Google fit for all your exercise. Set goals and challenge your goals.

Your body is made to move the more you do it the better it gets. Stretch many times during the day to be flexible and avoid aches and pains. Bend, move and scot to get the benefits of the movements.

Eat vegetables and fruits. Incorporate healthy eating habits. Try the original Food Pyramid. Today there is so much hype about carbohydrates as bad. It is the most essential group for energy. The pyramid will show that is the most intake of all groups of food.

Focus on health. What you eat or drink matters to your regular energy levels. Key part of energy building blocks are sleep, food and exercise. Don’t follow the myth “I used to be able to”. How old you are has nothing to do with not having energy. It has all to do with how you have kept up with your health. Your body deteriorated not with age but with what you have put in it.

Never losing your youth helps you with your energy too. Saying it’s normal I am tired is a killer. Keep up with all the sports activities that you were used to. I have met people in their late 60s hiking in the wilderness alone.

When traveling follow the same rules. If you schedule got messed up keep the next one. Jet lag is becoming a thing of the past with newer Boeing planes. Jet lag cannot be an excuse to change habits.

Stay positive during the day. Let all negatives and negative energy slide. There are health issues in all ages and do not let that put you down.

Follow these basic rules for a couple of months to form a habit and let me know what happened to your energy during the day.
